Rift-oak kitchen with a quartzite island and three faceted pendants

One wood throughout — rift-cut white oak, left pale, run floor to ceiling so the cabinetry reads as joinery. A single slab of quartzite carries the island and climbs the wall behind the range, veining matched at the seam.

Plaster walls, an arched steel window, and one heavy thing in the middle: a 96-inch oak top burned near-black on two brass plinths. Nine cubes of mercury glass hang low enough to read as jewellery.
